Angel Episode Review

In which Cordelia has Apocalypse Issues.

What Happened

Cordelia's visions of the coming apocalypse start becoming more detailed, but Angel, Gunn and Wesley are unable to track down the horned Fire Guy that is setting things off. Angel is, however, able to get over to Connor's in time to find him and Cordelia in bed together.

The Good

• "One day, if I pray hard enough and eat all my vegetables, I just might have hips." Lilah's imitation of Fred. She and Wes are all kinds of bizarre.
• Cordi explaining that she saw a little too much of Angelus to be with Angel in that way. Even if it's just a small hitch, it's believable and it was a great scene between the two of them.
• Lorne: "That much mucus is never a good sign. Yes. Please describe it in great detail." Funny, funny Lorne taking calls in the background of all these scenes.
• Oh, see, Angel. You'll make me like you if you keep beating up on Gavin.
• "Lilah, she can be very giving." Nice look to Wesley.
• Go, Gunn. Figure it out boy.

The Bad

• You'd think Angel would vamp out at the start of the fight. Seeing as this is the Apocalypse and all.
• Connor and Cordelia. And her reason for doing it, because he's "never known anything that is real." How is an End-of-the-World Pity Screw "real"?

The Cliche

• Fred and Gunn's issues. Can open. Worms everywhere. And a few rats, too. 'Cuz, you know, no one is allowed to be satisfied in their relationship.

What Did I Think?

I'm just having too many ickies from the whole Connor and Cordelia thing. On the other hand, it does bring up the possibility of a lot of Father-Child angst. They are on probation, however. There is always new Stargate over on UPN.
