Angel Episode Review
In which Angel is culturally retarded.
What Happened
Angel and Wesley survive Cordelia's latest acting debut and manage to avoid insulting her when she asks what they thought. Across the street, something more important is going on and Cordi squeals when she recognizes famous actress Rebecca Lloyd.
When famous actress Rebecca Lloyd nearly gets run over by a car and Angel saves her, she becomes interested in hiring to Angel to protect her from a creepy stalker. In the middle of everything, Angel manages to reveal to Rebecca that he is a vampire.
Rebecca is more intrigued than frightened and pumps Cordelia for information. When Angel identifies her publicity-hungry agent as the guy behind the attacks, Rebecca brushes the information aside and concentrates on "thanking" Angel for helping her.
The idea is to make Angel happy (with a little happy pill) and get him to make her a vampire so that she can remain young and beautiful forever. Angelus thinks that is a fantastic idea. He smacks Rebecca around for a bit, until Cordelia and Wesley show up.
They stop Angelus from killing Rebecca and knock him down an elevator shaft. By the time the drug has worn off, Angel is securely tied to his bed. His friends accept his apologies, mostly, but leave him there for a little while to think about what he's done.

Best Lines
Wesley: "We might try shouting 'Fire.' It's not technically a crowded theatre."
Rebecca: "He doesn't know who I am."
Cordelia: "He's culturally retarded that way."
Cordelia: "Because Mr. Distant has intimacy issues, I lose my brush with fame."
Angel: "She's just a person."
Cordelia: "Spoken like a true non-person."
Angelus: "Tell you what, I'll torture you for a few unbelievably long hours and then you can tell me if this is the lifestyle for you."
What Did I Think?
Ah. Pay-off. Forget all that crap about the price of fame. It's really just an excuse to bring Angelus out for a bit of fun.
