Angel Episode Review

In which there is Faith.

What Happened

Faith hits town, running from Sunnydale, and causing trouble where-ever she goes. Her antics attract the attention of Wolfram and Hart, who are annoyed that Angel has once again wrecked one of their cases. Lindsey, Lilah and Lee offer Faith money to kill Angel and she eagerly agrees.

In order to really upset Angel, Faith beats up Cordelia and kidnaps Wesley. While waiting for Angel to show, Faith tortures Wesley. She's covered sharp objects and is just about to start on fire when Angel arrives. They get into a knock-down, drag-out, fall-out-a-window kind of fight, but Angel refuses to give Faith what she wants: he refuses to kill her.

What We Learned

• Angel hates saving the wrong guy.
• Faith has that new in town look.
• Someone with that much body art is going to have a different definition of civic duty.
• Generally speaking, you don't change a guy. What you see is what you get. Scratch the surface and what do you get? More surface.
• Lindsey hates failure when there's no one else to blame it on.
• Faith has been a busy little beaver.
• You can always tell when Angel is happy: his scowl is slightly less scowly.
• Not everyone screams, when you kill them.
• Lilah is certain Faith won't be disappointed in their performance.
• Nothing says success less than splitting the bill.
• Hell will freeze over before Cordelia has sex with Wesley.
• It's always better with audience participation.

What Did I Think?

Aside from the "why did they drag Tyler Christopher into this? Is that supposed to be meaningful, or is is just me because I recognize him from General Hospital?" distraction... this rocked.
