Well. I was thinking to myself that Damon could have anything he wanted including Elena because he was smart enough to revive Elijah and that made him my favorite. But I'm going to have to swing back over the Stefan's side this evening.

Thank you! For showing and telling once again that Stefan doesn't think Elena is some sort of pet that he gets to boss around even if it is for her own protection. I mean I get why Damon is the way he is and it doesn't make him a bad person, but Stefan does let Elena make her own decisions.

I'm liking Esther and her brood. At the start, I was afraid that it would be tough for me to tell Kol and Finn apart, but that sorted itself out quickly. I'm very much taken with Finn's quiet intensity. He seems closer to Elijah on the rationality scale; Kol is obviously taking a page from Klaus' book. (Maybe there's a sort of cheekbone to sanity ratio? idunno) And how fun is it to see Klaus go whining to mommy about how Rebekah isn't playing nice?

On the other hand, it would be mercilessly cruel of the show to give us back Elijah then just kill him off, so I hope Esther's spell goes horribly awry in some dramatic fashion. In a nice way, of course.
