Buffy Episode Review

In which Angel is very very bad.

What Happened

Angel starts attacking Buffy's friends and family, targeting Jenny Calendar just as she is about to find a way to restore his soul.

The Good

• Jonathan and his friend coming into the library to -gasp- look for a book. They've been waiting all series for that joke.
• "I know you feel sorry about what happened, and I just wanted to say... good." Buffy still hasn't forgiven Jenny, but she really wants Giles to be happy.
• Angelus meeting Joyce as she's walking into the house, quot;accidentally" letting slip that he and Buffy slept together.
• Jenny's death. After one seriously freaky chase scene. Then, Giles finding her body in his bed, set up for Angelus' idea of a romantic evening. A real 'Oh God' moment.
• Angelus watching as Buffy and Willow get the call from Giles that Jenny is dead. No dialogue, only their faces and body language through the window.
• "You can't leave me. I can't do this alone." Buffy saving Giles.

The Bad

• The Watchers should really already know the spell to dis-invite vampires from a home. It sounds like one of the basics.

The Cliche

• Jenny: "She said you missed me."
  Giles: "She's a meddlesome girl."
• They are so sweet. She is so dead. First, because they are going all out to make her likeable. Second, because Giles is just about to forgive her.

Best Lines

Buffy: "Hey, sorry about your fish."
Willow: "That's okay. We hadn't really had time to bond."

Absolutely perfect.
