Back and Back and Back to the Future

What Happened
Moya comes across a disintegrating vessel and D'Argo insists that they rescue an escape pod and its crew. Examining the cockpit, Crichton falls prey to the "Daniel Jackson Poke It Until It Zaps You" School of Thought and gets knocked out of proper time-space for his troubles.
The pair of scientists are Ilanic, allies of D'Argo's people, and he continues to offer Matala and Veral every courtesy. John, meanwhile, keeps having naughty dreams about Matala, who's busy slithering about D'Argo. When Crichton describes "getting vertical" with Matala to D'Argo, the alien does not react well. Eventually, Crichton realizes he's seeing the future. What he sees next is Matala killing Veral, D'Argo... and John.
Matala and Veral tell D'Argo that they were testing a weapon based on a black hole for the Ilanics to use against their enemies, the Skorvians. They'd like to restart their tests here on Moya. After Aeryn discovers that Matala is a Skorvian agent, she and Zhaan agree to help Crichton.
After a few death scenes, John realizes that in order for this to get any better, they will have to separate Matala and D'Argo. Crichton tells D'Argo that in a future conversation, he overheard D'Argo admit that he's been lying about the crime that caused him to be imprisoned, forcing D'Argo to believe him.
D'Argo and John confront Matala and the fight scene breaks out. Matala escapes in the pod, but a dying Veral activates his weapon. As it envelopes Matala and the Skorvian pursuit vessel, Moya starbursts to safety.
What We Learned
- No idea what's causing it is reason enough to stay clear.
- Don't poke sparky boxes in derelict space ships.
- John's just a little tingly.
- Matala's leading D'Argo around by his mivanks.
- D'Argo's hands are quite skilled.
- Aeryn guesses they both have their unique talents.
- He could just be going plain old bonkers here.
- War does not recognize multiple loyalties. There is only them and us.
- The future? John can barely function in the present.
Best Lines
John: "I'm just gonna get some air."
Aeryn: "We have air in here. What is the matter with him?"
Zhaan: "He is Crichton."
John: "Open your ears or your tentacles or whatever orifice you listen with."
What Did I Think?
Matala was more than a little obvious.
