Coup by Clam
Farscape Episode Review
In which the crew eats something that disagrees with them.
What Happened
Moya is being seriously affected by the tormented space, upset by the electrostatic surges hereabouts. The crew finds a planet where the mechanics may be able to help the Leviathan, but chowing down on a local delicacy is a bad idea. Faced with a collective case of food poisoning, the crew is ordered to bring a massive bribe to the doctor. Symptoms will mimic space madness, and suffers of that are shot on sight on this world.
The clams link the crew's emotions to each other in pairs. Aeryn can feel all three of Rygel's stomachs. John thinks that Sikozu must be sitting in a sauna. D'Argo gets the hiccups whenever Noranti does. Chiana didn't eat the clams, so she is in charge of the mechanic. The others go down to the planet to find either a cure or the money.
The doctor can cure D'Argo and Noranti (the purple mollusk people), but needs to buy more mollusks in the other colors. The oppressed women of the planet control the mollusk supply, however, using them mostly to poison their leaders. That means getting some mollusks requires John and Rygel to go undercover in drag, but they eventually rescue Aeryn and Sikozu and collect the cure.
