Farscape Episode Review
In which Rygel has crap taste in women and Crichton comes to a decision.
What Happened
A Scarran, a Hynerian and a Nebari arrive on Moya, claiming to have escaped a Peacekeeper weapons test, by knocking out their guard and stealing the transport pod. Shortly after, Talyn returns, making John the happiest guy ever; he even has a bit of a smile for Crais. Aeryn does not have a smile for John, however, and Crais is left to tell him about the death of the other Crichton.
Rygel is thrilled to hear that there is a Hynerian female onboard. He's impressed when Orrin says that she was arrested for refusing to pledge allegiance to Dominar Bashan. When a Peacekeeper distress signal is sent out, everyone becomes a suspect. Chiana, Rygel and D'Argo stand up for their new friends, just as John writes Aeryn's odd behavior off to grief.
Orrin is revealed to have made a deal with the captured guard to turn Rygel over to the Peacekeepers in exchange for her freedom. Their fleeing transport pod is retrieved and Orrin jettisoned into space.
John gets a message from himself, a holo sent by Stark. Talyn!John tells him about the wormhole weapon and the Scarrans, before advising himself to give Aeryn time. Aeryn watches them play one last game of rock, paper, scissors, then the image disappears.
John announces to his friends that he intends track down Scorpius and destroy his wormhole experiments. Aeryn's with him, which persuades Crais to join up, but the others remain skeptical.
What We Learned
- D'Argo has always thought that the cut of the green shirt didn't suit John's face.
- Bulat body parts can survive independent of the main body for up to half a cycle.
- So much for sanity.
- There's a mental Polaroid we can all live without.
- John does not want any advice.
- You cannot let the little appendage start telling the big appendage what to do.
- Dominars never need rest.
- There's an ear in there somewhere.
- The pleasure was all Rygel's.
- We choose our own path.
What Did I Think?
Crais and Jool were kind of cute together. Too bad that never went anywhere.
