Scratch and Sniff
Farscape Episode Review
In which Crichton and D'Argo go to a party.
What Happened
Kicked off Moya by Pilot, the crew visit a pleasure planet, where John and D'Argo get drugged and robbed and left in a window to amuse passers-by. An odd little alien named Raxil finds them and tells them that Chiana and Jool are in trouble. A dance contest between the girls escalated to back-flips and fire twirling, attracting the attention of Fe'Tor, the local drug dealer.
Freslin, the drug in question is made from the body fluids of sentient species, and Fe'Tor thinks that Chiana could be the source of some spectacular snuff. Raxil feeds John and D'Argo the sob story that her mate is also one of Fe'Tor's victims, but D'Argo realizes that she had a hand in setting them up and refuses to trust her.
John talks his way into Fe'Tor's auction, where the plan is to buy the prisoners back. The bidding on Chiana quickly skyrockets and John is outbid, however, so gunfire breaks out. D'Argo rescues Jool, but Raxil's mate is dead. She isn't so sad; apparently, the mate stole her idea for the Freslin machine design and sold it to Fe'Tor. When Fe'Tor jumps John, Chiana overdoses him on Freslin and leaves him writhing on the floor in joy.
A thoroughly annoyed Pilot announces that he doesn't believe John's story. He and Moya still want time alone, so he'll just find an industrial planet to dump them on for the next eight solar days.
Have fun.
