Donny, We Hardly Knew Ye
Las Vegas Episode Review
In which I think that it's safe to say that Ed is not thinking, "Which one's country, which one's rock and roll."
What Happened
Delinda dumps Danny rather brutally, telling him that he's just not reckless enough for her, but that he shouldn't be bummed out about it. He bitches to Mike, who suggests he brighten Ed's day with the news. Ed turns out to be disappointed; he hoped Danny might make Delinda less flakey.
Danny turns his attention to uncovering the mystery of a man who bought forty thousand dollars worth of chips, but hasn't played a single hand. Post blackmail, Julian admits that he's buying a car, and Danny guesses that it will be a stolen Ferrari from a car convention at the hotel.
Ed attends his cousin Donny's wedding. He hopes the "magic" follows them back to Trenton, but has to wonder after learning that Donny recently won $35,000 at the roulette wheel. He asks Sam to give Donny and Marie anything they want, as long as Ed doesn't have to hear about or participate in it.
Filled in about the Ferrari buy, Ed tells Danny to pretend to be Julian and make the buy - as long as it happens off casino property. Danny winds up held at gun-point and forced to chase after his seller in order to get the casino's money back.
Marie takes off with Donny's money, but Ed has Sam track her down. He explains that Marie is going to go back to Trenton with Donny and stay married to him for at least the next year - or Ed will be placing a call to her parole officer.
"Be sure to laugh at all his jokes," he instructs.
What We Learned
- Just from the suit, Donny would guess Ed was upper-level middle management.
- Delinda seems like a very mature girl to Samantha.
- The sex was definitely above average.
- Delinda's relationships average about three weeks. Danny lasted four and a half. Some guy in accounting made $400 bucks.
- Hooker's don't fall under the FBI's jurisdiction.
- Donny's Vegas fantasy involves Carrot Top.
- Occasionally, Ed will give a guy a pass, as long as it's his decision. Or it makes Danny's job more difficult.
- Delinda joining a convent is a great idea.
- You should know if a woman likes your Ranger Bobble-Head collection before you marry her.
What Did I Think?
More fun than the last one. Less disjointed and a lack of random King Arthur is a plus.
