Las Vegas Episode Review
In which greedy people are easy marks.
What Happened
Big Ed is horrified when Delinda is easily conned into passing counterfeit chips.He's equally annoyed with Danny after he, or rather his brand new watch, catches the eye of Conwoman Shelly at the pool.
Sam is wrangling a pair of whales who are running her ragged with special demands. They insult a waitress or three, point out a particular table they have to play at, complain that the stools are the wrong color, then insist that Sam drive them off for chili burgers.
Danny's obviously thinking with the part of his anatomy that got him in trouble with Delinda as he takes Shelly out for drinks. He doesn't notice Britney and Christina getting into a cat-fight, or his new date relieving some woman of her diamond bracelet.
Danny and Shelley are in the middle of, well, each other, when Big Ed calls about the missing bracelet. Catching on quicker than usual, Danny realizes that his new girlfriend may have something to do with it. She claims that she has debts and some guy named Duran is threatening to kill her if she doesn't come up with the cash.
Chili burgers consumed and green stools located, the whales finally sit down to play, only to find that their favorite dealer Julio has retired. Sam finds Julio is not exactly in any shape to deal cards, but wheels him back in anyways, so Michael and Elliot can play... very, very slowly.
Feeling that the exploitation of Julio is enough, Sam tries to lay down the law. The whales only laugh, admitting that they had a bet on how long it would take to drive her crazy.
Duran promises to leave Shelly alone if he gets his $8000, so Ed tells Danny to hand over his new watch. Danny pouts at first, but he's smirking when he catches Shelley and Duran about to leave town together and hands them over to the cops.
What We Learned
- Delinda's no expert at relationships...
- Ed never invited Delinda to Take Your Daughter to Work Day.
- "Bling" is not a word Danny would use to describe Delinda.
- Danny's all over it.
- Big Ed does not shake hands.
- Greedy people are easy marks.
Best Lines
Danny: "Try not to be so gullible next time."
Delinda: "Look who's talking. You thought sleeping together meant I love you."
What Did I Think?
Gave Sam more to do that usual. It is, however, sometimes very noticable the way Vanessa Marcil is off on her own in the story more than the others.
