Bomb Squad
Pretender Episode Review
In which we realize that when people say "with all due respect," they generally don't have any
What Happened
Jarod goes looking for the "Fax Bomber," drawn by a blast that blinded a photographer. His ideas on the suspect meet with initial resistance, but as usual he turns out to be right.
Miss Parker, Sydney and Broots are shaken when Raines shows up to investigate the supposed leak at the Centre. They are convinced that someone is feeding Jarod information. After hooking them all up to a lie detector, Angelo identifies Broots as the culprit.
Miss Parker follows Broots home and uncovers him saying good-bye to his daughter before she flies home to his ex-wife. When his lawyer quits the custody case, Broots summons up enough gumption to point his finger at Miss Parker and warn her not to mess with his child.
The fax bomber turns out to be an ex-soldier who never got to truly play hero. Carlson frames some poor kid and puts him the hospital. Jarod locks them both in an elevator with a bomb and dares him to defuse it.
Angelo spots a picture of Jarod mother on a missing persons website, but doesn't point it out to Mr. Raines.

What Did I Think?
"Don't mess with me." Jon Grives did a good job being convincing as he stood up to Miss Parker regarding his daughter, but still having a tiny bit of uncertainty as to whether she was going to let him get away with it.
