Hustle

Hustle

Hustle is a fun show. It's very Ocean's Eleven, but with less people running around. The focus is on style over substance - which it kind of has to be since otherwise I'd be busy pointing out to the television that the so-called "heroes" are stealing other people's money. But they are nice criminals. They dress well (even Danny) and brush their hair on a regular basis and they only ever target people who deserve to be fleeced.

Xmas Presents: Hustle - Albert's Challenge

It doesn't bother you that we haven't made any money yet?

For December, I decided to highlight my very favorite episodes, like little Christmas presents from television.

I know it's tempting to stop but you need to keep watching the rest of the episode after the bit where Mickey and Danny take their clothes off.

The sweetest con of all is to con another grifter and here we get it from all over. Mickey vs Danny has the highest emotional stakes, but that clever twist at the end just brings everything back together. This group is their own little family and its wonderful to see it reaffirmed.

Big Daddy Calling

Hustle Episode Review

In which Albert needs a new hobby. We have seen the one where Albie gets beat up and the con is run in revenge before on Hustle. This, I fear, doesn't add much to the genre.

Conning the Artists

Hustle Episode Review

In which a cute kid and a good ending can make up for a lot. This episode of Hustle decides to test this theory.

A Designer's Paradise

Hustle Episode Review

In which we are fierce, darling, as Hustle runs a con in the fashion world and we get some rather hackneyed backstory on Billy.

Getting Even

Hustle Episode Review

In which Eddie needs a favor. Hustle brings a recurring character to the front as Eddie asks Danny for helping saving his father's old folks home.
